We went to Mass this morning at the Catedral de Santa Catalina de Alejandria. Some websites said it started at 11:30am, but it didn’t actually begin until noon. Whoops! It would cost a fortune to air condition this place, so there were several fans to help everyone try to stay cool. We did our best with understanding the Spanish and following along!
After church, we got brunch at a French place (go figure), mainly because the line for a recommended Colombian place was ridiculously long. Then we checked out the Museo Histórico de Cartagena to learn more about the city’s history and the Inquisition. We also watched some Colombian dancers on the plaza out front. This evening, we’re chilling at the apartment, eating leftovers and getting ready for school to start tomorrow!
